NOW RECRUITING!

If you or anyone you know is looking for a fun and interesting new hobby, then check out the Transcona & District Pipe Band. You can learn to play either the Bagpipes, snare drum, or midsection drums (bass or tenor). We are a youth pipe band ranging from ages 8-18 and have travelled extensively throughout the bands existence, winning many major competitions. Students are from across Winnipeg, and we always welcome more to join the ranks. If you interested and have more questions, please do not hesitate to contact us

We look forward to seeing you at our next practice. Band practice starts up in the fall on September 15th at 6:30 pm at Harold Hatcher Elementary School.

Nova Scotia 2009

The band enjoyed a two week trip to Nova Scotia to compete in the Halifax Highland Games on July 11th, and the Antigonish Highland Games July 18th & 19th. See the Band Gallery for more pictures!

Brandon Highland Festival

An excellent day at Brandon left the band with firsts in both events. The band did exceptionally well and received overall good comments from judges. Congratulations to the instructors and solo competitors as everyone had a succesful day in Brandon.

 

Winnipeg Scottish Festival

Congratulations to the band for taking a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in their band events at the Winnipeg Scottish Festival. Also, a big hand goes to the drum corps for earning best grade 4 drum corps.

Ceilidh Time - Belgian Club       407 Provencher Blvd

Saturday, June 13th's Ceilidh was a huge hit with performances by the band and solo's by some local pipers. Thanks to all who attended to help raise money for the trip to Nova Scotia.
